T. Joseph Fisher, III - Chief Executive Officer

T. Joseph Fisher, III, joined Contour Energy Systems as CEO in February 2008. Prior to joining Contour, he had a successful career with over thirty years at Energizer Battery, where he had held numerous senior management positions including Vice President - Global Rechargeable Battery Business Unit, Vice President and General Manager - Energizer Power Systems, Vice President - Business Development, General Manager - Miniature Batteries, as well as holding several International Management assignments in Europe, Argentina and South Africa. He founded JCF International, LLC, in 2007, where he advised and consulted for several international Portable Power companies. Fisher received his B.S. in Industrial Management from the University of Cincinnati and also has an MBA from the West Virginia College of Graduate Studies, now a part of Marshall University.

Dr. Liew-Chuang Chiu (LC) - Chief Operating Officer

In his role as Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Chiu is responsible for all aspects of Contour's operations, including product development, manufacturing capabilities and the maintenance of robust supply chains. Prior to joining Contour, he was the CEO of Superprotonic, Inc., a startup developing fuel cell technology. Mr. Chiu has vast experience in all aspects of operations, having established factories in Singapore and Indonesia as co-founder, VP Operations of E2O Communications, Inc. He was also responsible for making significant improvements in delivery, cost, and quality controls at Optical Communication Products, Inc., where he was the VP of Operations. Mr. Chiu received his BS in Physics, and MS and PhD in Applied Physics from Caltech.

Eric Lind - VP Business Development

In his Business Development role, Eric Lind is responsible for establishing customer and partner relationships as Contour commercializes its suite of technology products. Before joining Contour, Eric was the VP/General Manager of Ultralife Corporation's Commercial Business, where he led the sales, marketing, and engineering efforts for new and existing products in the automotive, medical, industrial, and other portable power markets. Additionally, Eric was the Director of Business Development in ConocoPhillips' Emerging Technology group, charged with bringing new technologies from concept to commercialization. Prior to that, Eric spent eight years at Duracell (a division of Procter and Gamble) in various engineering and management positions within their strategic OEM business group. Eric is a graduate of Duke University with a double major in Biomedical Engineering and Electrical Engineering and holds an MBA from the University of Connecticut with a concentration in Marketing.

Dr. Simon Jones - Director of Research and Development

In his role as Director of Research and Development, Dr. Jones oversees the R&D effort in both Lithium Primary and Advanced Rechargeable technologies. In addition, Dr. Jones works closely with our partners at universities, national laboratories and other institutions for the licensing and development of other advanced battery technologies and platforms. Dr Jones received a D. Phil in Chemistry from the University of Oxford, UK, and is the author of over 30 scientific publications. He has over ten years experience in materials research for emerging technologies, including electrochemistry, organic electronics and nanotechnology.
